Volleyball Recap: Badger Braves vs. St. John Fighting Herald
After flying high against Lordstown last Tuesday, Badger came back down to earth. The Badger Braves lost 3-0 to the St. John Fighting Herald on Thursday. The Braves haven't had much luck with the Fighting Herald recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-7, 25-16.
Badger lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Gabriella Miller, who had 11 digs and two blocks. Miller is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted nine or more in the last three games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Kaylin Harnett, who had ten digs and seven kills.
Leading St. John to victory were Alexa Jordan and Caitlyn Carney. Jordan had 15 digs, while Carney had seven digs.
Badger's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for St. John, the victory for them keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Badger will head out to challenge Pymatuning Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. John, they will venture away from home to face off against Mathews at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. St. John is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.
