Baseball Recap: Northwest Catholic Takes a Loss

Northwest Catholic was the 7-3 winner over Farmington when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Lions took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the River Hawks on Monday.

Andrew Mikan was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Northwest Catholic now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Farmington, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-8 record this season.

Northwest Catholic will be playing in front of their home fans against Hall at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Farmington, they will head out to square off against Lewis Mills at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
