Softball Recap: Make It 13 in a Row for Allen County-Scottsville

Allen County-Scottsville had already won 12 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.9 runs) and they went ahead and made it 13 on Thursday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Warren East Raiders. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Patriots have posted against the Raiders since May 15, 2023.

Addison Ausbrooks spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Payton Hopkins, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Allen County-Scottsville's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Warren East, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-7.
