Volleyball Recap: New Palestine Beats East Central for Their Third Straight Win

New Palestine waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the East Central Trojans. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Dragons also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

While New Palestine might've won, it sure wasn't easy: East Central scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-20.

New Palestine had a senior duo take command as Azure Flagle had 13 digs and Samantha Gooding had 22 digs and one assist. Those 22 digs set a new season-high mark for Gooding.

New Palestine's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for East Central, they moved to 5-3 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

New Palestine has already played their next match (against Hamilton Heights), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for East Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Rushville on the 26th.
