Baseball Recap: Joel Barlow Gets the Win

Joel Barlow extended their postseason success on Tuesday against Seymour. They came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 5-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.

Gavin Maryott spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up 12 Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Joel Barlow saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was TJ Baer, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run. Brennan Maryott was another, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

Joel Barlow's victory bumped their record up to 19-6. As for Seymour, their loss dropped their record down to 15-7.

Joel Barlow will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Wildcats: the pair will be back at it again later today.
