Middleborough has gone 8-2 against Norwell recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Sachems are taking a road trip to take on the Clippers at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Middleborough took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They came out on top against Durfee by a score of 6-1.

Meanwhile, Norwell had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Vikings a 2-0 shutout. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Clippers have posted since April 2nd.

Norwell pushed their record up to 11-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Middleborough, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.

Middleborough skirted past Norwell 1-0 in their previous matchup back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Sachems since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
