Recap: Marcellus Mustangs vs. Skaneateles Lakers
The Marcellus Mustangs can now show off 11 landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 73-31 win over Skaneateles. The victory was familiar territory for Marcellus who now have nine in a row.
Marcellus' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Codey Kociela, who scored 16 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kociela has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Will Burnett, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Marcellus pushed their record up to 18-1 with that win, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Skaneateles, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marcellus will take on Bishop Grimes at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Marcellus' favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven games. As for Skaneateles, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Cortland at 6:30 p.m. on February 13th. Hopefully Cortland focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 last Tuesday.
