Basketball Recap: North Clayton Takes a Loss

North Clayton lost against Riverdale last Friday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The North Clayton Eagles fell to the Riverdale Raiders 56-50. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Riverdale's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaylen Allen, who went 7-for-16 to rack up 19 points. Another player making a difference was Nigel Favers, who posted 16 points in addition to five steals and three blocks.

North Clayton's loss dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Riverdale, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 14-11 record this season.

North Clayton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Riverdale, they will take on Cedar Grove at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Cedar Grove sitting on 14 straight wins and Riverdale on three.
