Soccer Game Preview: Kennedy vs. Prosser

The Kennedy Crusaders will take on the Prosser Falcons at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Things were looking good for Kennedy after they put the first goal on the board on Monday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. While the 3-3 score might suggest a draw, it was Lincoln Park who was credited with the victory. The Lions got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to Kennedy's three. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Kennedy came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 38th, while Lincoln Park are ranked 133rd).

On Tuesday, Prosser came up short against Proviso East and fell 3-1. Prosser have struggled against Proviso East recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Kennedy's loss dropped their record down to 12-3-2. As for Prosser, they now have a losing record of 6-7-2.

Kennedy was able to grind out a solid win over Prosser in their previous meeting back in September of 2017, winning 3-1. Do the Crusaders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Falcons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
