Volleyball Recap: Weldon Valley Takes a Loss

Weldon Valley was the 3-1 winner over Hi-Plains when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Warriors took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Patriots on Friday. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Weldon Valley started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 26-28, 25-23, 25-12, 25-21.

Weldon Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Hi-Plains, their win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Weldon Valley will face off against Flatirons Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hi-Plains, they will take on Burlington at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
