Basketball Recap: Brooks County Takes a Loss

Brooks County lost against Lanier County two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Brooks County Trojans took a 70-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lanier County Bulldogs. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (60), the Trojans still had to take the loss.

When it comes to explaining why Brooks County lost, don't look at Anton Graham. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 15 points and 11 boards. Graham is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last seven games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Camauri Brinson, who posted 13 points along with eight boards and seven assists.

Brooks County has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.7 points over those games. As for Lanier County, their win bumped their record up to 14-11.

As of now, neither Brooks County nor Lanier County have any future games scheduled.
