After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Council, Salmon River was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Cascade Ramblers, posting a 71-6 win. The Savages might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Riley Davis had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 260 yards and four scores on only 13 carries. Those 260 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Malachi Cable was another key player, rushing for 70 yards and one TD.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Salmon River proved: they limited Cascade to a paltry 1.4 yards per carry. The team can thank Davis for the heroic effort on defense: he. Salmon River didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 19.4.

Salmon River didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Davis, Zayden Rambo, and Cable picked up one apiece. Davis also rushed for 260 rushing yards, which is notable because Salmon River is undefeated when he posts at least 80 rushing yards, but 0-3 otherwise. The Savages received some extra help from Uosehfa Case, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Salmon River's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Cascade, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
