El Segundo won against South last Wednesday with seven runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Eagles walked away with a 7-4 win over the Spartans. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 7-1 win last Wednesday.

Jake Collins looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits.

At the plate, Austin Hohman was a standout: he scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lincoln Quaintance, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

The victory made it two in a row for El Segundo and bumps their season record up to 11-2-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for South, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-5.

El Segundo didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-6 victory against Royal on the 29th. As for South, they have also already played their next match, a 13-4 win against Peninsula on the 2nd.
