Preview: Mounds View Mustangs vs. Park Wolfpack
The Mounds View Mustangs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Park Wolfpack at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mounds View has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 605 points over their last nine games.
Even though Irondale scored an imposing 59 points on Friday, Mounds View still came out on top. Mounds View strolled past Irondale with points to spare, taking the game 74-59. Given Mounds View's advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 75th, while Irondale is ranked 302nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, even though Forest Lake scored an imposing 67 points on Friday, Park still came out on top. Park escaped with a win against Forest Lake by the margin of a single free throw, 68-67. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Park.
Mounds View pushed their record up to 11-4 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Park, the win got them back to even at 7-7.
