Volleyball Recap: Douglas Comes Up Short

Douglas was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Custer Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 last Tuesday.

While Douglas ultimately came up short, they really made Custer work, particularly in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-16.

Douglas' defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Custer, their win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-1.

Douglas has already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Lead-Deadwood on the 12th. As for Custer, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against South on the 12th.
