            Volleyball Recap: Cardinal Gibbons Chiefs vs. Palmer Trinity Falcons        
        
		
        
        
            Cardinal Gibbons's tournament run continued when they took on Palmer Trinity  on Saturday. The Chiefs fell  2-0 to the Falcons.
 Jordan Andrews paced Cardinal Gibbons' offense, picking up nine kills. Andrews were helped by Ava Flores and  Ireland Gebbia, who contributed eight assists each. Gebbia was also solid from the service line:  she led the team with two aces.
 Palmer Trinity found their leader in freshman  Valeria Roja-Cano, who  had 30  digs. Those 30  digs set a new season-high mark for  Roja-Cano. Another player making a difference was  Bianca Blanco, who  had 22 assists and three  digs.
Cardinal Gibbons' loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Palmer Trinity, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record  this season.
 Cardinal Gibbons wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  contest,  a  3-0  defeat against St. Thomas Aquinas on the 24th. As for Palmer Trinity, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  matchup,  a  3-0  loss against Gulliver Prep on the 24th.
