Millwood came into Friday's game looking for another win against Amelia Academy, but Shayne Jackson wouldn't allow it. The Patriots managed a 38-34 victory over the Bobcats on Friday with plenty of help from Jackson, who posted 15 points. Jackson is crushing it when it comes to points: he's scored at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season.

Millwood's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Hazeem Karim, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 11 rebounds, and Griffin Aktalay, who earned 14 points along with eight boards and three steals. Another player making a difference was James McRae, who put up four points and eight rebounds.

Amelia Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Millwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Amelia Academy will face off against Steward at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Millwood, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Williamsburg Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on December 2.
