Baseball Recap: Covington Takes a Loss

Covington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 6-2 to the Munford Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-3 last Monday.

Covington's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Munford, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Covington will face off against Tipton-Rosemark Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Covington's pitchers better be ready for this one: Tipton-Rosemark Academy has averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season. As for Munford, they will be playing at home against Plano at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
