Wayland entered their tilt with Wyoming on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Wolves 11-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wildcats also won the last time the pair played  back in April of 2024.
 Trent Sikkema was  incredible,  going 2-for-3 with one  home run, three  runs,  and three  RBI. That's the most  runs  he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was  Bredan Byrne, who  went 3-for-4 with three  RBI, one  stolen base,  and one  run.
 They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Wayland  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 15  hits. That's the most  hits they've managed all season.
Wayland pushed their record up to 9-9 with the  victory, which was their third straight  at home. Those  home  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Wyoming,  the  loss snapped their winning streak at three games  and leaves them with a 7-3 record.
Wayland will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Wolves: the pair will be back at it again later today.
