Mt. Carmel is a perfect 3-0 against Escondido since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Sundevils will head out on the road to square off against the Cougars at 6:00 p.m.

Last Wednesday, Mt. Carmel didn't have quite enough to beat Eastlake and fell 3-2. The Sundevils have struggled against the Titans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Escondido, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They skirted past Orange Glen 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won four in a row.

Mt. Carmel's loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Escondido, their victory bumped their record up to 9-12.

Everything went Mt. Carmel's way against Escondido in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Mt. Carmel made off with a 3-0 win. Will the Sundevils repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
