Soccer Recap: Barron Collier Comes Up Short

Barron Collier and Estero squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Barron Collier had to settle for second. They took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Estero Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, with their most recent defeat being a 1-0 loss last Wednesday.

Eva Rothman and Liv Abougzir scored both of Barron Collier's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 19 goals.

Barron Collier's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Estero, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-3.

Barron Collier does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Estero, they have already played their next contest, a 0-0 loss against Lemon Bay on the 12th.
