Basketball Recap: Allegany Gets the Win

Allegany hadn't done well against Southern recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Allegany Campers managed a 66-62 victory over the Southern Rams. This was a revenge game for the Campers: when they faced off against the Rams last Friday, they had to take a 77-62 loss.

Several Rams players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Graham Harvey, who went 6 of 13 on his way to 17 points along with seven rebounds and six blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Jared Haskiell, who posted 16 points and three blocks.

The win made it two in a row for Allegany and bumps their season record up to 4-7. As for Southern, with the defeat, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-3.

Allegany and Bishop Walsh will face off at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. As for Southern, they will challenge Fort Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
