Basketball Recap: East Hardy Extends Winning Streak to Three

East Hardy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 41 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came out on top against the Tygarts Valley Bulldogs by a score of 56-47. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cougars also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Jacob Wamsley and Kaden Moore certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Wamsley went 6 for 10 en route to 15 points in addition to eight rebounds and four blocks, while Moore almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten boards. Wamsley has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played.

East Hardy pushed their record up to 7-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.0 points per game. As for Tygarts Valley, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 8-2 record.

East Hardy has already played their next game (against Northern Garrett), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Tygarts Valley will be playing in front of their home fans against Union at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Union is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.6 points per game this season.
