Volleyball Recap: Madison Comes Up Short + How To Watch

The Madison Cubs came up short against the Eastern Musketeers on Saturday and fell 3-1.

While Madison ultimately came up short, they really made Eastern work, particularly in the third set. The final score came out to 25-14, 21-25, 27-25, 25-17.

Brittan Neuman paced Madison's offense, picking up 12 kills. Neuman got some help from Audrey Miller and her 35 assists. Miller also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Lilly Canida, racking up four apiece.

Madison's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Eastern, their victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-2.

Coincidentally, Madison and Eastern will both be playing Springs Valley the next time they take the court. The Cubs will head out to face the Blackhawks at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, while the Musketeers will play them later in the day, at 1:30 p.m.
