Basketball Recap: Vestaburg Wolverines vs. Ashley Bears
If Ashley wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Vestaburg, they should've done a better job of containing Jaiden Anderson. The Vestaburg Wolverines took down the Ashley Bears 60-41 on Friday thanks in part to Anderson, who went 7 for 13 en route to 16 points and six rebounds. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Another player making a difference was Lily Johnston, who posted eight points and five steals. She has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 12 times she's played.
Several Bears players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Jazmyne Good also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.
Vestaburg has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 5-9 record this season. As for Ashley, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-11.
Vestaburg wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 55-34 defeat against Lakeview on the 3rd. As for Ashley, they will welcome Fulton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
