            For the second straight game, Canisius will face off against St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute. The Crusaders will challenge the Marauders at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday.
Canisius took a loss when they played away from home  on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed  on Monday. They came out on top against St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute by a score of  5-1.
 Jack Steiner spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks any time he's  pitched this season.

 At the plate,  Gavin Eynon was  excellent,  going 2-for-4 with two  stolen bases and two  runs. He is becoming a predictor of Canisius' success: when he posts  at  least two  runs the team is 3-1 (and 6-7 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of  David Barczak, who  went 1-for-3 with two  RBI and one  run.
 Canisius is  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record  this season. As for St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 7-8-1.
