Basketball Recap: Legacy Academy's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Legacy Academy can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They came out on top against the Spirit HomeSchool Warhawks by a score of 68-61. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 65-64 back in January.

Legacy Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Anderson Allen, who shot 80% from the field on his way to 18 points in addition to five assists and five boards. Allen also grabbed three steals, which is notable because Legacy Academy is 6-1 when he posts at least three steals, but 3-11 otherwise. Ahkei Carter was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds.

Legacy Academy's record now sits at 9-12. As for Spirit HomeSchool, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-10 record this season.

Legacy Academy has already played their next match, an 80-74 victory against Faith Christian on the 6th. As for Spirit HomeSchool, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-35 win against Palmetto HomeSchool on the 4th.
