Football Recap: Guthrie Takes a Tough Playoff Loss + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Guthrie can now relate to. They fell 42-35 to the Bishop McGuinness Fighting Irish on Friday. It was the first time this season that the Bluejays let down their fans at home.

Daelon Rice and Maddox Vaughn certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Rice threw for 330 yards and three touchdowns while completing 73.9% of his passes, while Vaughn picked up 193 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Guthrie's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Bishop McGuinness, they pushed their record up to 10-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Guthrie does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bishop McGuinness, they will venture away from home to face off against Claremore at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
