League recap: Kennewick's Plew delivers best pitching performance from past week

3A Big Nine league recap: 5/14/12

Stetson Plew was the best pitcher in 3A Big Nine this week. He accumulated one win and 15 strikeouts.

With a rough week, Kamiakin dropped out of the state's top 25 rankings. Kamiakin fell from No. 14 to No. 35 after going 0-1 over the past week. The Braves are ranked No. 2186 in the nation, and have an overal record of 15-5.

Hanford's pitching was especially stingy this week, allowing nine hits and one walks to lead the league in both categories. The Falcons' pitchers have been charged with only 130 hits and have struck out 94 batters. Colin Serkowski is tops on the staff with 39 Ks.

Kennewick scored 37 runs this week to lead the league, but Hanford is tops in runs scored this year, with 201.

The Lions' Trek Stemp finished his week with six hits, tops in the league. His 41 hits for the year are first in the league, and he boasts a .519 batting average.
