Ryder Williams leads Versailles to victory over St. Paul Lutheran

Recap: Versailles Tigers vs. St. Paul Lutheran Saints

Even though the St. Paul Lutheran Saints scored an imposing 74 points on Tuesday, the Versailles Tigers still came out on top. Versailles snuck past the Saints with a 80-74 victory. Given Versailles' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 53rd, while the Saints are ranked 243rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Ryder Williams continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 33 points along with two steals. Williams is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 26 every time he's taken the court this season. Tristan Albrecht was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds.

Versailles is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season. As for St. Paul Lutheran, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-7.

Versailles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Paul Lutheran, they will head out on the road to challenge the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
