Softball Recap: Gilbert's Loss Ends Nine-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Gilbert dropped their record down to 19-4 on Monday, which also ended the team's nine-game streak of wins on the road dating back to last season. They lost 10-0 to the Gray Collegiate Academy War Eagles. The Indians were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the War Eagles earlier this season, when they won 1-0.

As for Gray Collegiate Academy, they pushed their record up to 22-2 with the victory, which was their 29th straight at home dating back to last season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 9.3 runs.

For Gray Collegiate Academy's part, Kaylan Boudreau was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most hits Boudreau has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Elizabeth Robenson, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Gilbert and Gray Collegiate Academy should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings. The Indians (ranked 12th) will meet Irmo (ranked 160th) at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Gray Collegiate Academy will square off against Dutch Fork at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (5 vs. 78).
