Basketball Recap: Wethersfield Falls Short of Galva in the Playoffs

Wethersfield and Galva squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Wethersfield had to settle for second. They came up short against the Galva Wildcats, falling 63-39. The Flying Geese just can't catch a break and have now endured eight defeats in a row.

It was another big night for Blake Stahl, who dropped a double-double with 29 points and ten rebounds for Galva. The game was Stahl's fifth in a row with at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was JP Sloan, who went 5-for-11 en route to 13 points in addition to six assists and five boards.

Wethersfield's loss dropped their record down to 6-22. As for Galva, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 22-7.

Wethersfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Galva, they have already played their next contest, a 70-66 defeat against Newman Central Catholic on the 26th.
