Basketball Recap: First Presbyterian Day Comes Up Short

After flying high against Central Georgia Arts last Monday, First Presbyterian Day came back down to earth. The First Presbyterian Day Vikings were outmatched by the Tattnall Square Academy Trojans and fell 70-35. The Vikings have struggled against the Trojans recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Whit Davidson was his usual excellent self, putting up 18 points for Tattnall Square Academy.

First Presbyterian Day's loss dropped their record down to 5-18. As for Tattnall Square Academy, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 19-3.

First Presbyterian Day will head out on the road to take on Piedmont Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Piedmont Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests. As for Tattnall Square Academy, they will welcome Stratford Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Tattnall Square Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 22 matchups -- so hopefully Stratford Academy likes a good challenge.
