Softball Recap: Warsaw Takes Down Lone Jack in a Playoff Battle

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Warsaw walked away with it. They blew past the Lone Jack Mules 8-1 on Tuesday. Considering the Wildcats have won 14 contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Warsaw's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Lone Jack, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-10.

Coming up, Warsaw will take on Ava on Monday. The Bears will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight. Lone Jack does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
