Softball Recap: Marshall Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Marshall, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They never let the Nacogdoches Dragons get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Tuesday. The Mavericks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by six runs or more this season.

Marshall is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.9 runs on average over those games. As for Nacogdoches, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-6-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Marshall will challenge rival Tyler at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Nacogdoches is set to square off against their familiar foe Jacksonville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
