Volleyball Recap: International Takes a Loss

International lost against Indianapolis Shortridge back in August and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Gryphons fell 2-0 to the Blue Devils. The Gryphons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-18.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Indianapolis Shortridge to victory, but perhaps none more so than Belinda Alonso, who had five digs and three aces. Those three aces gave Alonso a new career-high. Amoura Jordan also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

International's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Indianapolis Shortridge, their win bumped their record up to 5-7.

International didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Bethesda Christian on the 22nd. As for Indianapolis Shortridge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Herron on the 22nd.
