Softball Recap: Mt. Eden's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Mt. Eden had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 7-4 victory over the Piedmont Highlanders on Monday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 12-1 back in March.

The team relied heavily on Shelby Newcomb, who went 3-for-4 with three doubles, two RBI, and one run. Those three doubles gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jasmine Cruz, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Mt. Eden's win bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Piedmont, their loss dropped their record down to 13-10.

As of now, neither Mt. Eden nor the Highlanders have any future games scheduled.
