South Western came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Penn Manor Comets, falling 4-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to South Western of the 7-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

South Western's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Penn Manor, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Western will challenge Red Lion at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be South Western's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Penn Manor, they will square off against Lampeter-Strasburg at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
