Softball Recap: Roosevelt Comes Up Short

Roosevelt lost against Liberty back in May of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Roughriders took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Patriots.

Madison Lee and Samantha Wright stepped up to the plate in a big way. Lee went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double, while Wright went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, one run, and one double. Lee has been hot for a while, having posted at least one stolen base the last nine times she's played. Pia Regala was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Roosevelt's defeat dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Liberty, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 16-9.

Roosevelt does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Liberty, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 4-3 victory against Ballard on the 16th.
