The Coram Deo Academy Warriors got the win against the Tri-State Christian Huskies on Thursday by a conclusive 66-44. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 22 points or more this season.

Coram Deo Academy found their leader in freshman Cooper Burgmeier, who almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds. Burgmeier is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least four every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Brecken Millage, who shot 55% from the field on his way to 13 points.

Coram Deo Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They are a perfect 6-0 when they've passed the ball that well.

Several Huskies players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nehemiah Smith, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 13 boards. Owen Reibling was another key player, going 6-for-15 en route to 13 points and four steals.

The win made it two in a row for Coram Deo Academy and bumps their season record up to 7-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.5 points over those games. As for Tri-State Christian, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Looking ahead, Coram Deo Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Pathway Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Tri-State Christian, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Faith Christian at 6:30 p.m. on January 5, 2026.
