Skiatook dropped their record down to 16-10 on Thursday, which also ended the team's six-game streak of wins. They lost 8-0 to the Rejoice Christian Eagles. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Bulldogs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

As for Rejoice Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-14 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games.

For Rejoice Christian's part, Micah Walker made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Walker has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kai Buntin, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Ethan Lawson also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
