Basketball Recap: Carroll Comes Up Short

Carroll has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 67-35 to the Lafayette Jefferson Bronchos, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 67-35 last Thursday.

Carroll's loss dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Lafayette Jefferson, they pushed their record up to 18-6 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Carroll didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 42-41 victory against Clinton Prairie on the 4th. As for Lafayette Jefferson, they will take on Harrison at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Lafayette Jefferson knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Harrison likes a good challenge.
