If Atchison wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Highland Park, they should've done a better job of containing Pearmella Carter. The Highland Park Scots came out on top against the Atchison Phoenix by a score of 50-42 on Saturday thanks in part to Carter, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 17 rebounds. What's more, she posted three blocks, the most she's had since back in January of 2024.

Highland Park has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. This is the second loss in a row for Atchison and nudges their season record down to 8-10.

Coming up, Highland Park will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Harmon at 7:00 p.m. Harmon has insisted on making their last three contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 1-2 during that stretch of close contests.
