Volleyball Game Preview: North Hagerstown Hubs vs. Smithsburg Leopards + Official Tickets

North Hagerstown is 7-1 against Smithsburg since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:45 p.m. North Hagerstown will come into the match with an undefeated record on the line.

North Hagerstown is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Maryland's top teams: Williamsport, who was ranked ninth at the time (North Hagerstown was ranked first). The Hubs walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Wildcats on Wednesday.

While North Hagerstown might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Williamsport scored at least 22 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 28-26, 25-22, 18-25, 25-23.

North Hagerstown's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Zalikah Pabalan, who had 21 digs and two aces. Pabalan is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Lauren Ly, who had 27 assists and four digs.

Meanwhile, Smithsburg came up short against Oakdale on Wednesday and fell 3-1. The Leopards have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Smithsburg's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for North Hagerstown, their win bumped their record up to 12-0.

North Hagerstown beat Smithsburg 3-1 in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. Will the Hubs repeat their success, or do the Leopards have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
