Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Crest). They put the hurt on the Kings Mountain Mountaineers with a sharp 66-41 win on Wednesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Chargers also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Crest's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nevaeh Thomas, who posted 12 points. Thomas is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. De'Kaylia Davis was another key player, putting up ten points.

Kings Mountain lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being La'Zya Byrd, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. Byrd is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down nine or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Allysia Pettis, who earned seven points.

Crest's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Kings Mountain, their loss was their 21st straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-16.

Crest has already played their next match, a 66-32 win against North Gaston on the 24th. As for Kings Mountain, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 63-23 defeat against South Point on the 24th.
