Baseball Recap: Garnet Valley Extends Winning Streak to Three

Garnet Valley won against Conestoga last Wednesday with seven runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Jaguars walked away with a 7-4 victory over the Ridley Raiders. This was payback for the Jaguars, who suffered a 2-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Chris Schaller was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Brady Thompson was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one triple and one run.

The win (which was Garnet Valley's third in a row) raised their record to 4-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Ridley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.

Coming up, Garnet Valley will take on Lower Merion at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The Aces' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Jaguars' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Ridley, they will challenge Haverford at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The Fords will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Raiders surely won't give up without a fight.
