Baseball Recap: Victor Valley Drops Highest Score of Season Against Barstow

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Victor Valley). They put the hurt on the Barstow Aztecs with a sharp 10-0 win on Wednesday. The Jackrabbits not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 26, 2024.

Not much got past Victor Martinez, who gave up just three hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Barstow off the board.

On the hitting side, Vincent Duran was incredible, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Davian Dominguez also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Victor Valley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Victor Valley's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-12. As for Barstow, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.

Victor Valley will have a chance to go back-to-back against Barstow: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
