Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Marshall couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They were beaten by the San Fernando Tigers 53-8 on Friday. The Barristers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Nathaniel Cadet threw for 69 yards and one TD. Jordan Walker was his top target, picking up 35 receiving yards and one score. On the ground, Sage Lindner rushed for 28 yards.

San Fernando's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Julian Sarzo led the charge by throwing for 273 yards and six touchdowns while completing 94.1% of his passes. Those 273 passing yards gave Sarzo a new career-high. Brandon Robinson also helped out with an impressive 102 receiving yards.

Marshall's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for San Fernando, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-3.

Marshall does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for San Fernando, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 21-14 victory against Cleveland on the 28th.
