Volleyball Recap: Mountain City Christian Academy Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Mountain City Christian Academy lost against Homer back in October and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Lions fell just short of the Mariners by a score of 3-2. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Jieaya Siatini-Williams paced Mountain City Christian Academy's offense, picking up 20 kills. Siatini-Williams were helped by Elli Courtney and Peyton Marks, who contributed 21 assists each. Siatini-Williams also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kate Matthew, each putting up two.

Homer was led to victory by Piper Fuchs and Reilly Sue Baker. Fuchs had 15 digs and one assist, while Baker had 14 kills, 13 digs, and three aces. That's the most aces Baker has posted over her last seven matchups.

Mountain City Christian Academy now has a losing record of 19-20-2. As for Homer, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 28-15-3.

Mountain City Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Redington on the 7th. As for Homer, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Nikiski on the 6th.
