Soccer Game Preview: Bennington vs. Elkhorn

The Bennington Badgers will face off against the Elkhorn Antlers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Bennington came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Columbus, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for Bennington in their meetings with Columbus: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, there was early excitement for Elkhorn after they claimed the first goal on Monday, however, they wouldn't score again. They fell just short of Elkhorn North by a score of 2-1. Elkhorn have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Their goal came courtesy of Molly Flynn, which was the first she's scored this season.

Bennington's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Elkhorn, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Bennington came out on top in a nail-biter against Elkhorn in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, sneaking past 4-3. Will Bennington repeat their success, or does Elkhorn has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
